A welcome pack which includes a bottle of Madiran wine from a local producer is provided, and fresh produce from our garden when available. Most suitable for couples or families, the ambiance of calm predominates here.
Overview
Situated in the middle of the renowned Madiran wine region and overlooked by chateau de Crouseilles, the property was a Bearnais farm set amongst the vineyards that produce famous Madiran wine.
Local attractions include historic churches and chateaux, the two week renowned Marciac Jazz Festival at the end of July to mid August, skiing in the Pyrenees (mountain walks in summer), or a longer drive to the Atlantic coast. During the summer months, the spectacle of Course Landaise can be seen at many nearby locations, and there are numerous village fetes. Each day there are interesting markets to experience locally. For the sporty, kayaking and hiking are not too far away.
Lourdes is about an hours pretty drive South. Spain is about one and a half hours drive as is Biarritz.
The wine connoiseur will be in heaven here as there are more than 33 wineries within a short distance each with its own distinctive tasting experience.
